Job Title:        Corrosion Technician

Job Summary: Primary Role is to work as a member of the pipeline system addressing corrosion control needs for the KPC Pipeline System.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

·Learning the requirements of KPC’s Safety Program and performing work safely.

·Performing annual and general surveys and inspections of KPC’s corrosion control  systems.

·Maintaining the corrosion protections system components

·Conducting field testing of corrosion control systems

·Ensure corrosion contractors perform work in accordance with KPC’s standards, specifications and procedures.

·Timely completion of work to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.

·Maintaining qualifications to perform certain covered tasks required by OPS operator qualification rule.

 Qualifications

·High school graduate with 5-10 years pipeline operations experience with working knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192, subpart I. 

·CP Level 1 Requirement. 

·Coating inspector Level 1 Preferred requirement

Working Conditions:

 This position is estimated  50% office and 50% field, available 24/7 for on call and emergency response, intermittent times of high stress
